Ailleron signed an agreement with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality and SALTO, the biggest suppliers of hotel door locks, controlling most of the world market. These partnerships will allow Ailleron to expand its iLumio system offer – starting now, the Polish company can offer a mobile application that will allow a majority of hotel doors in the world to be opened using a mobile phone. Thanks to well thought-out development, consistently acquired partnerships and broad integration capabilities, iLumio is becoming one of the most advanced hotel systems.

ASSA ABLOY Hospitality is a global leader in hotel security technology with products installed in over 42,000 properties worldwide, securing in excess of 7 million hotel rooms. Part of the ASSA ABLOY Group, an international group that employs more than 46,000 employees and operates in more than 160 countries, ASSA ABLOY Hospitality has a leading-edge range of security and technology solutions made up of VingCard electronic locks and Elsafe in-room safes, as well as advanced mobile access and integrated software solutions. Its talks with Ailleron SA were conducted in the second half of 2016 and ended with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two companies. Ailleron is currently the only Polish company to be an “ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Certified Partner”.

We are proud to have successfully passed the verification process to become the first company in Poland to be a certified partner of ASSA ABLOY Hospitality in the field of mobile keys. Now we can officially use the logo “ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Certified Partner”. Thanks to this certification, we can offer a full range of services to hotels, including a mobile application that will allow doors in hotels using ASSA ABLOY Hospitality technology to be opened with guests’ smart phones and watches, says Justyna Michalczyk, General Manager of iLumio in Ailleron SA.

Ailleron has also begun an analogical cooperation with the Spanish company SALTO, whose solutions are currently used in over 2 million doors around the world. The company specializes in creating innovative, wireless access systems, allowing for the control of the security of all the doors without the complexity and high costs connected with, for example, wiring.

For the optimal development of iLumio’s possibilities and to reach as many clients as possible, we have decided to cooperate with the two largest companies in the industry – SALTO and ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, which account for about 80 per cent of hotel “handle/knob” suppliers. Our data shows that hotels alternately choose between these producers, hence the decision to integrate with both these leading companies – adds Justyna Michalczyk.

The mobile key contained in a mobile phone functionality is an interesting and innovative alternative to traditional hotel cards or keys. First of all, a mobile key is much easier to use and, more importantly, safe. The system generates an encrypted digital key, which is provided to guests in the form of a smartphone application. The application is properly secured and sends the key via a secure communication channel so that only authorized users get access to it.

We are continually developing and expanding iLumio to meet the expectations of increasingly demanding customers, but also to indicate the direction in which the hotel industry will evolve in terms of technology. Using a digital key, we avoid the tiring registration process at a traditional reception desk – you just need to log in to pick up your virtual key via mobile, adds Justyna Michalczyk.
